This is what happily ever after feels like…..

We arranged a meeting place, a time, and exchanged information without even talking on the phone. They needed pictures for their upcoming wedding soon that is all I knew. Usually I chit-chat with my clients just to get a feel of who I am going to be photographing… actually I do it so they are not surprised or caught off guard by me… I can be somewhat of a huge personality, I can’t help it! But I was meeting this couple “blindly” without any knowledge of their personalities. They were shy, I was super loud, they were in love, I could clearly see that. I learned that day that a quiet silent look of love is just as loud as shouting it from the rooftops. This is just the beginning of their happily ever after.

These are not pictures of a newly engaged couple, these are pictures of love still going strong. This is what years of being married looks like… not much different from newly engaged couples huh? When love is true love it looks the same. He still picks her up to embrace her. She still is excited to hold his hand. Neither of them wants to be the one to look away first. They still linger into each other eyes. It’s love, stronger than before. I encourage more couples to do what Anne & Ryan did… they choose to document stages in their marriage with pictures. Brilliant. Hope your love lasts an eternity you lovebirds you!

I wanted to ask this couple how if felt to be so perfect? My goodness they were flawless. The strapping young man was like 6’5 and she is just a little bit shorter than him. Just kidding she is the most tiniest petite little thing ever!!! She could practically fit in his pocket! This made for fun posing!! Luckily this couple is so in love you couldn’t see anything else but the love between them. While editing their session I was trying to convince myself to go blonde… she made me believe that if I went blonde I would be as gorgeous as her. If only it was that easy…. sigh. Basically he only has eyes for her. She makes him happy. He plans on giving her the world. She couldn’t ask for anything more than his love.

This handsome fellow had a plan and his gorgeous girlfriend was falling right into it. She had contacted me for a Christmas session, they wanted a good picture for their Christmas card. He contacts me and arranges a little meeting with me cause he wanted something more than a Christmas picture, he wanted me to photograph his proposal to her. After a trip to her family’s home to ask her father for his daughter’s hand, picking up the ring and securing it in a safe location, and ironing out every detail of how the proposal was going to go down, they day finally arrived. The location was perfect she kept talking about how it reminded her of her hometown of Ojai. The sun was setting. Everything was in place. And then it happened.. one of the most sweetest proposals ever. She said yes. She was beyond ecstatic. My ears are still ringing from her shouts of joy! They will live happily ever after because he loves her more than life itself.

Love is in the air! We are offering our Valentine’s Day special… 30 minutes 30 images. Yep!! Mix it and match if you want! Get a picture of the kids.. maybe one of you and your sweetheart and if we have time bring your dog or that favorite furry friend too! Whatever we can fit in your 30 minute session… as along as it’s someone you love in your picture I’m ok with it!!

This talented young woman has beauty, brains, and talent all packed into her little frame. She has poured her life into something so graceful as moving her body to music.
